Locum Vet Pay
‘Your Pay, Your Way’
We are an employment solutions company specialising in the veterinary industry, helping locums to get paid.
Locum Vet Pay for temporary workers in the Veterinary Industry
The two main ways for a locum to get paid are sole trader or through an umbrella company:
Sole trader
If you choose to work as a sole trader you will need to register with HMRC and pay tax and National Insurance. You’ll be running your own business, so will need to invoice, chase clients for payment, keep business records and then submit a tax return at the end of the year.
Umbrella Company
If you choose to work through an umbrella company you’re employed directly by them, and they take responsibility for all the business elements, invoicing, chasing payments, VAT, National Insurance and Income Tax.
Our Services
Umbrella Payroll
Our short term & low admin option, The Umbrella Service employs contract workers and takes all the admin out of getting paid.
Administrative Services
For self-employed workers our advisors are on hand to take on the administrative burden, invoicing and collating financial records so you don’t have to. Check out our overview below.
Accountant Services
For Sole Traders we offer Chartered Accountants to complete your Tax returns.
